Tales from a frustrated journalist

Midnight Sale of Random Thoughts

I had just thoughts of moving my blog to Blogger since some people who want to comment on my 360 blog can’t do so because they need to sign-up.

Anyway, I just came home after having a few chitchats, silent reflections, and cycling outside our home. The stupid electric fan beside me continues to spin noisily which ruins my much needed concentration. I think I’m having an LSS (Last Song Syndrome). All throughout the night, I kept on hearing “Gan Lae Gan” and “Kop Koon Gan Lae Gan” playing in my ears. I can’t help but sing along with it even as I was cycling across town!

Ever since my monitor started to function normally again, I’m often lured to my keyboard to write silly stuff again (if it isn’t silly for you, thank you). It’s already 1:48 in the morning and I’m here sitting on the squeaky monobloc lawn chair and try to use my PC without wearing my glasses because I want my eyes to rest for a while.

I’m quite surprised that even at the wee hours of the morning, I still got two important emails from new friends in Bangkok. The aroma of hot tom yum goong filled my nostrils as soon as I read their messages. Ah, yes. It proves to me that Thai people are one of the friendliest people on earth, only rivaled by Filipinos and the Americans. No wonder I love watching Bangwood movies, regrettably those films aren’t given much attention here in my country.

I’m not really into writing. Even though I’m a journalist, I can’t seem to find the words when I want to type a commentary, a review, or stories in creative writing. My forte is news writing and I’m fine with that. With my very wide imagination, I can’t understand why I ran out of words to type while I can recite my own litanies whenever I want to. But now thanks to blogging, I can tell the world all that I’m trying to say but I just can’t or no one would care to listen. At least, I know you would care to read (since you’ve already reached this part).

I chose this template because it reminds me of the famous dotted world map set of Larry King Live on CNN.

First, I type my stuff on MS Word. I use Courier New size 11 so that there is a ‘journalistic feel’ when I write. Gone are the days of widespread use of typewriters. But at least with this font, I can somehow rekindle that feeling of old school journalism.

So, here I am. In my new home. I hope that I would stay here for good and keep in touch with you, people. The journey has just begun. I hope you’ll follow me.
